Uses of Generic Arimidex (Anazole by Alpha-Pharma)

Anastrozole (Anazole tablets) is used in women who have finished menopause for treatment of early breast cancer. It is used in the following areas:
• after surgery, with or without radiation
• in women whose breast cancer is hormone receptor-positive
• first treatment of locally advanced or metastatic breast cancer in women whose breast cancer is hormone receptor-positive or the hormone receptors are not known
• treatment of advanced breast cancer, if the cancer has grown, or the disease has spread after tamoxifen therapy

Anastrozole Overdosage

There is no specific antidote to Anastrozole overdosage and the treatment must be symptomatic. In the management of an overdose, consider that multiple agents may have been taken.
